Discowale Khisko Bollywood Routine
Whew – I didn’t realize these steps were going to be quite so tiring! I’m going to have to come up with some routines that are a little more mellow, eh?
Anyways, from the new movie Dil Bole Hadippa, here are the steps for “Discowale Khisko”:
And here’s the first part with the music:
And make sure to check out the original video, it’s pretty fun, too!
Jab we Met – so cute!
If you haven’t yet seen the movie “Jab we Met” it is absolutely adorable. I guess I should really say that Shahid Kapoor is adorable. I don’t usually fall in love with movie stars, but maybe I should start.
Anyways, this is the closing number to the movie, and a whole lot of fun to dance to:
And here it is with some music, Mauja hi Mauja:
I thought it was kind of awesome that the hero of the movie turns his life around, becomes a superstar business person, and gets the girl all by just being a good guy. Apparently the moral of the story is you don’t have to “strive” to do well in the world, you just have to go with the flow and be totally compassionate, doing the right thing for everyone else – then the right thing will magically happen for you! Not the sort of moral you would normally see in a Hollywood movie – I thought it was great.
Aahun Aahun from Love Aaj Kal
Yes, not one, but two great tunes from the same movie!
This dance is dedicated to the awesome boys of the Bollywood Dance Medley who shuttled me from Crittenden to Building 40 so I could make my hip hop class on time. This song was playing in the car at the time – thanks so much for the rescue guys!
Here are the steps:
And here it is with music:
This is a fun one for singing along, so I’ll see you in class to rock it!
“Twist” from Love Aaj Kal
This latest Bollywood flick, Love Aaj Kul, gets mixed reviews but has a *great* soundtrack.
And it was filmed partially in San Francisco, so that’s always fun to see! I think it might be the Golden Gate bridge on the logo, even?
Anyways, we’ll be dancing to “Twist” – the obvious hit song of the summer, here are the steps:
And here they are with the music:
If you want to watch the movie, it is playing here in the area, check out the showtimes!
Let me know what you think of the movie – I still haven’t seen it!!
Bluffmaster – Boro Boro
By request, we’re doing a Bhangra style dance to “Boro boro” from the Bollywood movie, Bluffmaster.
So get your super cool club style on for these steps:
and here it is with music:

Deewangi Deewangi
This is often known as “the Om Shanti Om song” – because its chorus repeats the name of the movie over and over! This is a fun scene in the movie – there are 32 Bollywood stars featured in the song – check it out!
Because the atmosphere is like a fun party, we do lots of fun steps:
and here they are with the music:

Dard E Disco Bollywood Steps
Okay… if you haven’t seen Om Shanti Om… what are you waiting for?
This musical scene in the movie is *hilarious* – it helps to know the whole movie, but it’s fun to watch on it’s own too.
A lot of our steps are taken directly from the movie, so watch closely!
And here are our steps with the music:
So apparentely Farah Khan (the famous director) had a bet with Shahrukh Khan that if she ever directed another movie, he would have to do a number with his shirt off. So when she finally directed Om Shanti Om, he had to do this number! He apparently had some ridiculous training regimen to get his body ready to be in tip top shape. After 3 months of training, he looks pretty awesome, especially when they throw a bucket of water on him. A wonderful number that makes fun of itself even while having some great music and dancing.
Dhoom Machale Bollywood Videos
The first action thriller to be released by Yash Raj in 19 years… Dhoom Machale was the beginning of a thrilling series…
Don’t forget to check out the original steps to this song – they’re pretty hot!
Here are the steps:
And here are the steps with a little music:
See you in class soon! Now if we could only get pyrotechnics in class to explode on the chorus…
Dance Pe Chance – Bollywood

Hello Bollywood Dancers,
I’m happy to finally have a nice choreography for Dance Pe Chance – it’s such a fun song!
Here are a few of the steps we will be using:
I hope to see you for the Decathlon Club’s new performance class “Dance World Live” – we start next week on Tuesday at 8 pm. It’ll be an awesome Bollywood medley, let me know if you have any questions.
